You’ll be enchanted when you find out that this town is connected by a system of internal and external fortifications with towers and city gates containing elements of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance styles. If you’re a nature enthusiast, visit river Mirna and enjoy the famous Motovun/Montona forest, an area of about 10 square kilometers that differs completely not only from the nearby forests, but also from those of the entire surrounding region because of its wild life, moist soil and rich-with-prized-black-and-white truffles.

 

Be a Roman Gladiator in Pula!

Come meet the star of Pula, one of the best preserved Roman amphitheaters, the Pula Arena! Feel like a Roman Emperor while sightseeing a multitude of ancient Roman buildings. Taste luxurious wines or go fishing, you will have a blast! There’s no question about that. Explore the city then ride a bike to the resorts at the Verudela Peninsula! A series of beautiful beaches is waiting for you! Breathe in fragrant pine groves and then take a break at a seaside café, your coffee will taste like heaven!

Visit the remains of the Roman villa rustica from the I. century B.C. in the bay of Verige. You don’t need to know scuba diving to visit the well-known hydro-archaeological site, you’ll need a mask and a snorkel! Get Creative in Groznjan

Known as the town of artists, Groznjan offers a lot of creative and artistic activities! What better way to combine arts and sports than cycling on the “From Galleries to Sculptures” cycling path! You will get lost in galleries and ateliers of Groznjan artists and maybe stumble upon The Church of St Vitus that dates from the year 1300.You will fall in love with Groznjan’s most attractive sights: old walls, forts, churches and monuments and have  beautiful memories that you’ll reminisce upon on rainy days.
